♬Call it what you want.

On July 5th, I had the amazing privilege of seeing one of my favorite bands—Foster the People!! Along for the tour, were the 2 opening acts—Kimbra, and Mayer Hawthorne! What an awesome night…I got to share it with two of my favorite people, we were standing all of 3 feet from the stage, and I have a HUGE, probably unhealthy crush on Mark Foster. Indeed, what a night!

Other than the blue dressers, I wanted to add something really special to Sorin’s room that his mommy would love. Enter this adorable giant photo strip! Find the super-easy tutorial here!

Little Boy Blue.

About a month ago, I found these little dressers at an estate sale. I had been wanting to get my little nephew a dresser for awhile, so I snatched these up.

{Non-spectacular dressers}

As you can see, they are really boring! Naturally, I decided to give them a whole new look. I started off by picking up some bright blue spray paint at Home Depot. I had never used spray paint before so I wasn’t very sure how it would turn out, but after two good coats, the drawers looked awesome! Plus, I saved so much time by opting for spray paint instead of normal painting with a brush.

{Loved this shade of blue}

After getting both dressers painted, I just felt like something was missing. I thought my nephew’s name would give one of them a nice personal touch. You can find the technique I used here. It was so easy, and I love that hand painted look! After painting the name, I sealed both dressers with some clear acrylic spray.

Today is my cousin (Sorin’s mamma’s) birthday. My gift to her was a surprise makeover of his room. This little guy has more toys than Santa’s workshop, and they were all over his floor! Yesterday, my hubby and I sneaked into her apartment (while she was having a bday dinner), gave every toy it’s own place, and incorporated these fun new dressers.

{He loves his new room!}
